EL CONDICIONAL

1. Tiempos formales de condicional

Los tiempos de condicional se forman mediante la siguiente estructura:

Con los tiempos formales de condicional se construyen secuencias que expresan:

• condición
• probabilidad
• ficción
• sugerencia
• hipótesis
• ofrecimiento
• futuro ficticio dentro del pasado

Se traduce al español, según los casos, por el condicional, por el pretérito de indicativo o por el subjuntivo.

 

it would be quite absurd for her to carry it further, sería bastante absurdo para ella llevarlo más lejos

would you tell me;; please;; which way I ought to go from here?, ¿me podrías decir, por favor, en qué dirección debo irme (de aquí)?

how would you handle a awkward position?, ¿cómo tratarías una situación embarazosa?

I should earn $500;;000 per year, ganaría 500.000 dólares por año

few wild animals would survive in a town, pocos animales salvajes sobrevivirían en una ciudad

 

2. Construcción del condicional con algunos verbos modales

La construcción de la expresiones de condicional también puede ser realizada con otros tiempos verbales (presente, futuro), verbos de significado apropiado, conjunciones condicionales, etc.

El condicional también se construye con los verbos modales could y might.
